David followed his fascination with mechanics into a successful career as an aeronautical engineer, working on commercial aircraft design on the West Coast. As a young man, he was known as the family daredevil, spending his college summers restoration-modifying old motorcycles and taking long solo cross-country road trips.
Despite living across the country from his parents, David maintained a close connection to his roots, returning home every autumn for the annual harvest. He is a passionate photographer who documents vintage machinery and mid-century architecture, filling dozens of albums with high-contrast black-and-white prints.
